The Vicard Group has implemented a selection of grain types (very fine, fine, mid-fine and open) on the French oak supplies. We also offer French seasoned and coopered, European and American oak barrels with mixed grains.
Generation 7 was developed from a desire to control the variability factors in cooperage and bring greater precision to wine and spirit maturation. This unique brand of barrels utilizes NIRS (Near-Infrared Spectroscopy) technology to select staves based on their ellagitannin content.
ORIGINE (LTP) adds minimal tannins while offering all the benefits and complexities of oak aging. Characterized by fruity, bright notes with a focused palate.
SYMETRIE (MTP) offers an intermediate profile, combining structure and tension while respecting the fruit.
ENERGIE (HTP) brings an element of strength, adding structure and roundness, as well as subtle smoky notes.
PRIVILEGE is a blend of the 3 tannin profiles, bringing elegance and superb complexity.
A range of barrels for sustainable development. Traditional stave milling leads to a 70% loss of raw material. The Vicard Group transforms 100% of these losses into a range of products. Among these is the ECO barrel range which enables us to offer quality barrels at competitive prices.
ECO 3’s originality is in its composition. It is a blend of irregularly sized staves which are joined together using our patented Slotsaw™ technique (staves of smaller width, standard thickness, respect of the wood fiber). Two of this type of stave are required to make a standard sized stave.
ECO 27 is a unique product with economic and ecological benefits. What makes this product special is found in its raw material. Comprised of staves taken from the upper part to the first tree branch which, until now, were not used in cooperage, the ECO 27 allows us to utilize more of the tree.
Only traditional toasts (Medium/Medium Long)
Custom selection of ECO27 staves, based on two tannin potential classes (Low and Medium/High mix). All toasts available.

Inheriting six generations of ancestral know-how, each
large container is the subject of a rigorous wood selection
and benefits from a 100% natural drying.
The aromatic impact of a cask or a tank will be more
subtle because the contact surface between wood
and alcohol is much lower.
